Filming Technology - Working title, Warp Films, Hollywood

CGI - Was first used in films in 1973 for the film Westworld, then in Westworld's sequel Futureworld (1976). Star Wars (1977) was the 3rd film to use CGI. Today most hollywood films use CGI, such as Avatar and Harry Potter. Working title has used CGI in some of their films such as Nanny McPhee, whereas warp fillms rarely has due to their lack of funding.

3D - 3D is becomeing hugely popular among film makers. But so far the main huge successful 3D film is James Cameron's Avatar, closely followed by Resident Evil: Afterlife which used the same technology as Avatar, and Alice in Wonderland. But most films that try and do 3D don't actually record in 3D, unlike Avatar and Resident Evil, insted they record then, when editing the film, make it 3D. This ends up causing a less effective 3D movie. Working title and Warp films are yet to release a 3D film.

Editing Software - Warp films use either Adobe Premier Element or Final Cut
Working title use Avid
Hoolywood use a huge variety of editing software. Avatar alone used around 20 different programmes, including Avid and Adobe programmes.

Camera's - Panavision Genesis camera was used by hollywood in films like; Flyboys, Superman Returns, Scary Movie 4, Click and Apocalypto.
